Perroux’ Hills, Essay

Here is my new lawn mower : I had to leave my old one, that I repared to finish the last season, to get this one.
I must admit that my heart got broken a bit because of that ! Even a piece of metal and plastic can be difficult to let go away !

The heating system is now fixed : a little piece of cahoutchouc was broken and refrained the pump to take the fuel out of the tank.

Thanks to the friendly heat from the radiators, we decided to stay for the Sunday : but what a weather ! Strong winds and persistent rain. As usual for a winter, and we can say that it’s not that cold outside.

Now we can focus on the outdoor decorations : the neighbours are preparing actively but nothing visible yet.
A chance, because we still don”t know what to do with our 16m long “guirlande”.

If you came along in  Perroux’Hills during Chrsitmas period, you’d notice the special attention that neighbours and friends of ours are bringing to the decoration and outdoor scenes !

Then, this year, we decided to help and participate at our humble level, with some lightings around the main entrance “charlotte” (this metal and glass protection of the door).

Also, today afternoon, it’s shoping time to find the item that will fit our budget and match our expectations !

Surprise to come !

This week-end, the Winter made a show up !
Unfortunately, our central heating system did want to work : the specialist said that it was not enough fuel in the tank, but after a large amount added, it appears to be more complex !
As a result, it’s quite cold, and we have tough time trying to get some comfort from the cheminy.
The neighbour’s horse is teking this with philosophy :

As if the time could be stopped by the photo camera !

Second step in a try to get the mower a longer life :

Celebration ! with champagne and toasts, of course !
Nothing like a end of period report, because the story goes on, and we’re happy with that !
Anyway, some feelings about this new life : in comparison with the big city, it’s less promixuity and more proximity, loosing some anonymousness.
Friends are more difficult to keep because going out during the week is a nightmare due to never ending traffic jams, so there are sometime to dedicate to them on the week-end, againt the country side way of life.
For the work, it’s a success, with a smooth transition, and a good balance between work from home and flex office. I think I transmit the idea to my closer colleagues and friends. Managers are also very happy with this organization : thanks Sun Microsystems, it’s worth mention it !
If we had a second chance ? we mau have spend more time in the final choice, even it’s not sure :  we felt in love for this small old house, and the difficulties are balanced by the pleasure that we get from it in return.
